Time Out
Matt 14:23 - 33

OK---it's Time Out!!
This phrase is heard many time in families with children. It is
usually spoken when a situation is out of control and needs to have a quick
halt brought about. In the adult world, there are times when we need a
time out. Sometimes when we are very focused on a project or a set of
circumstances, we need to stop, step back, to get a fresh approach or just
plain rest and relieve frustrations.
One example we can look to is in Matthew 14:23. Jesus had just
finished feeding the five thousand. Verse 23 says; after he had
dismissed them, he went up on a mountain side by himself to pray. When
evening came he was then alone. Jesus took time out to be with his
Father to refresh and recharge his spirit.
After this time out, he went for a walk on the water to rescue his disciples
in the boat. Read about it in Matthew 12: 23-33. Your time out
results probably won't be quite as powerful. However, you should have
smooth sailing, if you include our Heavenly Father and Our Lord Jesus in
your prayer time outs.
Give it a try.
