Adam's Disturbing Discovery
Genesis 1:27, 2:20, 3:6, 3:8-20, 21, Romans 5:17

In Genesis 1:27, we see "So God created man in his own
image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
In 2:20 "So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the sky
and all the beasts of the field.
In Genesis we see Adam & Eve sinned 3:6 and in verse 7
"Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were
naked: so they sewed fig leaves together and made covering for themselves."
Apparently they thought that their action would take care of their sin and
were satisfied the issue was settled. Well maybe not because when God
came to them in the garden they hid from Him. In verses 3:8-20 we have
the dialogue and pronouncement of the change to come about.
In verse 21 "The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam
and his wife and clothed them." Imagine Adams though of ... Lord where
did you get the skins and did one of my animal friends have to die to
provide the covering for us?" Their plan of fig leaves had failed and
God had to take charge and provide the proper covering.
God has indeed provided us a way out from our sin."
Look at Romans 5:17. For if by the trespass of the
one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will t hose who
receive God's abundant promises of grace and of the gift of righteousness
reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ."
Our friend Jesus Christ died for us and rose again to take
away our sins. God has provided a proper covering for our sins.
